Global Mobility Manager - Expiring soon!

We are seeking a Global Mobility Manager (in-house) to join our client in London.

This position is an individual contributor role that is both operational and strategic; handling the full assignment lifecycle as well as guiding senior stakeholders as the global subject matter expert on international mobility.

This position sits within the global HR services team working directly with HRBP, people operations and talent.

The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a tech-culture environment and will be happy to work in the London-based office, ideally 4/5 days per week.

Scope of the Global Mobility Manager role:

  • Serve as the International Mobility subject matter expert managing end-to-end international assignment and relocation process (start to finish) for employees globally, with a key focus on USA, Europe and APAC
  • Handle all global mobility types not limited to, permanent relocations, expatriate assignments, new hire relocations and remote workers globally
  • Serve as the direct point of contact for employees, managers, HRBP’s, Talent, Legal, Tax and Travel departments
  • Manage the network of external partners and vendors for all aspects of domestic and international mobility globally. Directly managing standards and ensuring SLA are met
  • Delivering subject matter expertise and strategic consultation on international mobility to internal stakeholders based on business needs
  • Conduct assignee case assessment and present suitable relocation offerings and benefits on a case-by-case basis
  • Treat each relocation and international assignment as individual, and ensure a flexible and tailored global mobility program is adopted to ensure a positive experience for the business and employee
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess circumstances and solutions for the business considering key factors not limited to tax, payroll, immigration, social security, and employment laws and regulations
  • Work closely with HR, HRIS and Finance teams to ensure data management.
  • Directly partner with the Immigration department and serve as another point of contact for immigration-related queries
  • Regularly communicate case management updates and timelines with employees and any relevant internal stakeholders
  • Actively improve internal international mobility resources, guides and offerings
  • Obtain regular feedback on global mobility program management and proactively present recommendations to enhance, improve or build new programs, incorporating the latest industry best practices
  • Track cases and data related to mobility trends within the organisation
  • Assist Global HR Team with various projects and initiatives, as assigned

Skills and experience required:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 10 + years of global mobility experience, ideally in-house
  • Ability and prior experience in building/scaling a global mobility program to meet the needs of a growing company in an in-house environment
  • Ability to work successfully and be influential in a global matrix organisation
  • Strong operational and strategic global mobility experience
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working with stakeholders at all levels, functions, and regions with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Proven experience in vendor management, including new vendor evaluation, RFP, and navigating complex cases with internal compliance-related teams (Immigration, Payroll, Tax, Legal)
  • Experience with Workday or other similar HRM systems
  • Knowledge of employment-based immigration (preferred)

  • Proven ability to work in a highly flexible and fast-paced environment
  • High-touch, customer service mindset
  • Ability to identify issues and use critical thinking to identify and present viable options for the business
  • Comfort with and ability to operate in an ambiguous, and non-rigid environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise multiple projects in a demanding environment, a team player attitude with a healthy sense of humour
