Residential Children’s Home Support Worker
- Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
- Shift and Schedule: Day shift, Night shift
- Salary: £21,000 to £24,500, dependant on experience.

If you:
- Have a previous experience working with children and young people in a residential, educational, or social care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Possess a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children who have experienced trauma or adversity, as well as strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with children from diverse backgrounds.
- Have a basic understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and the principles of trauma-informed care (training will be provided).
- Are willing to undergo relevant training and obtain necessary qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Have a positive outlook and always strive to find new ways to respond to difficulties.

Here are some of the duties which our Support Worker will be involved in:
- Providing direct care and support to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
- Establishing positive and trusting relationships with the children, promoting a sense of security and belonging within the home.
- Implementing individual care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, incorporating therapeutic approaches and trauma-informed practices.
