What you’ll be doing
You will utilise state-of-the-art methods, technology and tools to explore all aspects of the development lifecycle, engineering analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, build and product support. You  will interface with customers (internal and external) on many factors within the design and liaise closely with Engineers from other disciplines, particularly Systems and Software Engineering.
  • Take responsibility for the Electrical and Electronic Engineering delivery of a variety of Electro-mechanical Systems supplied by SEA working to agreed cost, time and quality;
  • Provide technical leadership to a small multi-disciplinary team of Engineers on specific projects;
  • Provide support to the learning and development of other Engineers within SEA through mentorship and expert advice;
  • Support and facilitate reviews and approvals of electrical & electronic designs in accordance with business and industry standards;
  • Provide input to Company standards pertaining to Electrical and Electronic Engineering including calculations, CAD models, manufacturing drawings & schematics and technical reports;
  • Support SEA products through manufacturing, assembly, installation and service life;
  • Support the preparation and submission of bids and proposals, including interfacing with customers and suppliers and generating engineering estimates;
The skills you need
  • Design and development of Analogue and Digital Electronic Circuits
  • PCB design from Schematic capture to PCB layout
  • ECAD to MCAD using Altium and Solidworks
  • Experience in the design and manufacture of Electro-mechanical Systems
  • Experience in the design and development of Electronic
  • Ability to follow a methodical/systematic approach to analyse and solve problems, identifying key facts and breaking down complex information to components parts;
  • Full lifecycle experience from requirements decomposition to acceptance and user sign off on multi-disciplinary programmes;
  • Experience of requirements capture, analysis, V&V and configuration management;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Able to produce clear and concise technical documentation;
  • Demonstrable ability to plan and execute technical assignments;
  • Experience of development within the Product lifecycle;
  • Able and willing to travel occasionally within the UK and Overseas as required.
