Quantity Surveying Lecturer

College location:       East Surrey College (Redhill)

Salary:                       £27,494 - £39,131 pro-rated accordingly (a market supplement may apply subject to qualifications, skills, and experience)

Hours:                        Part Time, 2 days a week (14.8 hours/week)

We are currently seeking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Chartered Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the delivery of the RICS accredited BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying.  The College offers the degree in partnership with the University of Chichester by both part time study and as the academic component of the Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship. In this exciting key role in a unique FE and HE delivery partnership the post holder will be expected to deliver high quality learning, academic and pastoral care to students and to participate in research and CPD activities. 

The position will be 0.4 FTE and we are happy to discuss flexible delivery methods with applicants at interview. This could include online teaching. 

The College offers the opportunity for individuals to develop both their research and teaching profiles within a supportive academic environment.    

The successful candidate must have:

  • A teaching qualification or experience of training (but we will consider candidates who are willing to work towards a formal teaching qualification)
  • A current Chartered Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience of delivering and assessing Quantity Surveying (ideally within an FE environment)
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Academic and/or professional experience in Quantity Surveying
