Position: Buyer

Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in the office

Job Purpose:
Zachary Daniels are please to be able to support one of our clients in finding a new Buyer for their retail business

As a Buyer, you will collaborate with various teams to develop and deliver a leading range of products for both for stores and online platforms. You'll use your deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to create unique product offerings that boost sales, market share, and brand strength. Your negotiation and relationship-building skills will ensure we have the right products at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve company sales & margin targets.
• Manage P&L for product categories.
• Maintain strong relationships with Far East and domestic suppliers.
• Lead product range reviews.
• Support ESG initiatives through supplier and product management.
• Use customer insights to inform product development.
• Secure promotional opportunities with suppliers.
• Ensure timely merchandise delivery with the Supply team.
• Enhance sourcing and develop own brands.
• Identify new product and supplier opportunities.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience in Buying, preferably in Retail.
• Must be able to deliver own brand ranges with a large focus on NPD.
• Strong negotiator with excellent relationship management skills.
• Passionate about retail and customer-focused.
• Team player with strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Commercially savvy, resilient, and able to work under pressure.
• Experience in the cycling/motoring industry is a plus.
