Carmichael are recruiting for Site Engineers with extensive highways experience, for a tier one client on a major highways project.

Responsibilities - 

• Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments and undertakes periodic reviews

• Prepare and raise Temporary Works Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation

•  Carry out complex setting out

• ·Provision of ‘primary’ setting out control and recognizes the optimum location for installation

• Coache junior engineers in the use of setting out techniques

• Use and Navigate the design model using Navisworks

• Produces Activity Control Plans / Inspection and Test Plans and obtains approval

• Identify raise and actions Non Conformance Reports. Tracks close-out of NCRs within section.

• dentifiy and raise Technical Queries (RFIs) with possible solutions. Tracks closeout of RFIs within section

• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure works undertaken in line with weekly programme

Requirements for this role 

• Extensive highways experience, preferably for a tier one contractor
• Competent with setting out and QA
• CSCS
• Driving license 
• EUSR would be beneficial
• Safety Critical Medical
