Role: Section Engineer
Duration: 3 - 6 months
Rate: 350 - 400 per day (indicative outside IR35)
Location: Wiltshire
We are recruiting a Section Engineer for a tier one main contractor on a major heavy civils project. This position is to specifically support with the utilities coordination and diversion package.

We are recruiting a Section Engineer for a tier one main contractor on a major heavy civils project. This position is to specifically support with the utilities coordination and diversion package.
Role and responsibilities
- Prepare outline RAMS for utility diversion works and associated roadworks including traffic management.
- Liaise with the client team on all Utilities
- Liaise with Utility Companies on programme and designs
- Liaise with the designer on spaceproofing for Utility Diversions
- Input to Clause 31 programme for roadworks and utilities
To be considered for this position, you will:
- Have a HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Have an SMSTS and CSCS Card
- Ideally be experienced in Highways projects and have good knowledge of earthworks and drainage
- Have some experience with NEC Contracts
- Have an understanding of contestable and non-contestable utility works and the significance of the C2-9 Process as defined in the NRSWA
- Experience in managing subcontractors
