The Role
Ford & Stanley Talent Services Group are currently partnered with a global rail rolling stock manufacturer. Having been in their purpose-built facility for the last few years, they are wanting to evolve their engineering operations through implementing continuous improvement.
This is a new position within the company to help transform their ways. With over 100 employees based at their manufacturing facility in Newport, and little coordinated focus on CI to date, there is a genuine need to drive these significant changes.
There is huge scope and opportunity to implement new processes. The workforce are open to change and highly willing to learn!
Key areas of focus will be:
- Successfully delivering cradle to grave Continuous Improvement projects through workshops etc
- Deliver a change mindset to the site, bringing staff along on the journey
- Actively get involved and lead the delivery of continuous improvement activities
- Analyse data, suggestions, business intelligence to prioritise improvement projects
The Goal & Objective
The goal is to implement a continuous improvement culture and achieve a lean transformation in the next 5-years.
Location
Newport, Wales
Salary
Flexible depending on experience. - £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Essential Criteria & Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience of delivering CI focused projects
- Continuous Improvement related qualifications (Black Belt is highly desirable)
- Able to demonstrate leadership capabilities to ensure the workforce are bought into the transformation
- Production or Manufacturing experience
