Digital Marketing Executive

Location: This role is based in our office in Market Harborough. This is a temporary Maternity cover for 12 months.

Working Hours: Full-time Maternity cover role working 37.5 hours per week 09:00 am-17:15 pm Monday to Friday with 45-minute lunch break.                                                                        

Purpose of the role: 

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this role’s primary focus is to be responsible for the execution of digital marketing strategies across SEO, PPC, paid social, video, affiliate and e-mail marketing channels, to drive quality traffic to the Travelsphere and Just You websites. You will work with the wider Marketing team and external agencies to create engaging written, graphic and video content for marketing that aligns with the wider business strategy.

In this role you will:

  • Work with our search agency to optimise the Google & Bing PPC accounts
  • Protect the brand space monitoring companies bidding on brand terms.
  • Ensure we are staying abreast of all search developments and have ads in all relevant formats.
  • Create paid social campaigns that are engaging & relevant growing the audience through social channels & supporting commercial objectives.
  • Ensure PPC works with SEO to drive down PPC costs.
  • Work with our SEO agency to implement recommendations that drive quality traffic.
  • Plan and contribute to the creation of new articles to attract quality traffic, drive engagement and represent the brands well.
  • In collaboration with the brand team, design creative emails that are engaging and drive conversions to tie in with offline marketing activity and commercial requirements.
  • Develop, implement & optimise multiple email programmes relevant to the customers point in their journey.
  • Work with the Affiliate agency to ensure core messages are distributed through the network to encourage engagement.
  • Identify opportunities with new affiliates to maximise exposure to new audiences that match the brand demographics.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking is in place to monitor and report on conversions.
  • Measure & report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against specific goals.
  • Identify new routes to market/platforms to promote the brands.
  • Monitor competitor activity in the online forum.
  • Work closely with the Travelsphere & Just You marketing managers to develop new and creative growth strategies.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure a consistent customer experience across multiple channels & touchpoints.
  • Work with the wider web team to create landing pages and optimise the users’ experience.
  • Support with wider web activities relating to testing, content where required.
  • Input into the site design & user journey

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a background in digital marketing with an understanding across the whole marketing mix.
  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Have knowledge of SEO, PPC, Affiliate partnerships & video / display advertising
  • Useful to have knowledge of HTML and Adobe creative products such as Indesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Be passionate about the user experience and have a good understanding of UX to work with the team to build out appropriate landing pages and journeys to drive increased conversion.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication.
  • Be commercially savvy – and happy to analyse data from internal & external sources.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure with a high degree of flexibility to meet the demands in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
