As part of our growth plans, we are looking to expand our team with talented professionals. They are seeking a time-served, skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining traditional lathes to fabricate and shape various materials with the highest level of precision.

Job Responsibilities

In this role as a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Manual machining (centre lathe turning)/ Screw Cutting 
• Using hand tools to measure, mark, and cut materials
• Monitoring machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy
• Adhering to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Person Specification

• Proficiency in tooling for traditional lathe operations
• Previous experience in measurements and calculations
• Strong mechanical knowledge of lathe operations
• Familiarity with hand tools used in lathe turning
• Ability to fabricate and shape materials according to specifications
• Experience in materials handling and proper storage techniques
• You will be a self-motivated person, who is punctual and reliable and takes pride in always delivering the highest levels of service. 

Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00am to 05:30pm
• Up to £33,000
