Electro Mechanical Assembly Technicians Urgently required for a leading manufacturing company based near Guildford. We are looking for Assembly Technicians to join a specialist manufacturing business where you will be assembling, testing, reworking and building as part of a busy small but experienced production team, focussing on high end electronics. You will be working on cutting edge technology used within a wide range of industries from domestic to military.

You will be required to assemble parts from a range of products from PCB level through sub assembly to finished units, following Company engineering drawings, understand and build to wiring schedules, using appropriate meters, where required, to check assembled work. We are looking for experienced Soldering and Assembly Technicians, to build the full range of customer products within recommended assembly build times and ensuring the highest level of quality standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture of new or existing products
  • Assist with the problem solving of new products prior to product ionisation
  • Provide NPI support
  • Soldering, wiring, crimping, electro mechanical assembly
  • Set up and test software
  • Inspection of components and finished projects
  • Identifying foolproof tooling requirements
  • Assist in the training of operators
  • Ensure documentation is correct and legible
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of problem solving techniques
  • Being able to influence quality improvements through technical innovation.
  • Liaising with the Engineering departments, stores and other production teams
  • To provide assistance and support to other Assembly staff when requested.

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong soldering skills to IPC standards and proven experience as an assembly technician or similar role in the electro-mechanical industry
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good computer skills for documentation and record-keeping
