Role Overview:

As a Health & Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Health & Social Care across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will inspire students to understand the importance of health and social care, developing their knowledge and skills to prepare them for future careers in this vital sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons that inspire and motivate students.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets educational standards and prepares students for further education and careers in health and social care.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, including practical activities, multimedia resources, and interactive discussions.
  • Regularly assess student progress through creative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Encourage students to understand and apply key concepts in health and social care, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in and lead extracurricular activities related to health and social care, such as health awareness campaigns, community service projects, and guest speaker events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Health & Social Care or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Health & Social Care, preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Competence in using technology to enhance learning and administrative tasks.
