Production Planning Manager

Candidates with previous planning, inventory control or supply chain experience are welcomed to apply! Working in a modern facility on the outskirts of Ely you oversee a team of 4 ensuring that the material flow from Production through to shipping is smooth. Experienced in LEAN manufacturing you will be confident to implement and oversee continuous improvement activities. Location: Outskirts of Ely, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Office Based – 8am – 16.30pm Monday – Friday (Some flexi time could be available)

Hourly Rate / Salary: Negotiable DOE

Daily duties:

• CI activities – Gemba walks, value stream mapping and audits
• Lead the introduction of new systems such as spider routes
• Utilising the ERP system for capacity planning
• Leading and managing a team of 4 to include 1-2-1’s, recruitment and performance management
• Developing standard practice processes in the planning, stores, production and shipping functions
• Undertake regular audits across the departments
• Conducting root cause analysis

• Detail orientated working style
• Experience in waste and cost reductions
• LEAN manufacturing background
• Strong communicator
• Previous management experience of leading a team within Planning or Supply Chain
