Health & Safety Manager

Location: Altrincham Area

Salary: £45k - £50k plus excellent benefits

A local manufacturing company who produces products for the Oil & Gas Industry now require a Health and Safety Manager to join their team.

Health and Safety Manager – Overview:

As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for compliance, developing, implementing and supporting your own, departmental and company-wide projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:

• Identify relevant HSE Requirements and implement best practice compliance.
• Compile KPI’s for each business to show improvements in HSE standards and productivity.
• Ensure all processes and equipment comply with standards required.
• Be compliant and achieve certification to ISO 14001 & 45001 in due course.
• Report at board level and below on accident stats, environmental incidents etc.
• Ensure annual review of all risk assessments and ensure new risk assessments are carried out where necessary.
• Co-ordinate training programs related to HSE.
• Investigate workplace incidents, implementing preventative measures and best practice across all Oliver businesses.
• Prepare monthly reports for the board.
• Ensure contractors have relevant HSE assessments.

Health and Safety Manager – Person Requirements:

The ideal candidate Must come from the Manufacturing Industry as a Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety
• Member of IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Strong problem solving skills
