Position: Sprinkler Design Engineer
Location: Home-based, UK.
 

A leading fire safety solutions provider is looking for an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing, installing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential clients, ensuring all work meets the required fire safety regulations.

Role Overview:

As a Sprinkler Design Engineer, you will manage the design aspects of projects and small works, ensuring they comply with standards such as BS9251 and BSEN12845, along with all health and safety requirements. This pivotal role provides technical support across sales, operations, and service teams, and plays a crucial part in maintaining the company's accreditations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all design and technical elements of projects and small works.
  • Oversee design and compliance processes from initial sale through to project completion.
  • Act as the technical point of contact within the company across various departments.
  • Participate in project design meetings and represent the company at client sites.
  • Lead customer calls, visits, and audits, providing timely and detailed reports.
  • Liaise with accreditation bodies (e.g., IFC, LPC) and manage compliance audits related to design.
  • Produce and deliver design drawings as needed.
  • Advise the Board on issues related to compliance, workload, and industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Over five years of experience in the industry.
  • Basic Design LPC/BS Qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant sprinkler standards (LPC, BS, FM).
  • Extensive industry experience and health and safety management knowledge.
  • Strong leadership, management, and customer engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Work Schedule:
