RSW is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our finance team based in Cwmbran. With over 20 years in the industry, RSW can boast a great reputation and are the recruiter of choice for a number of manufacturing clients around South Wales and England. You will play a pivotal role in making sure that we accurately service these clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Report to: Managing Director

  • Overseeing credit control
  • Overseeing weekly sales invoicing
  • Credit checking clients
  • Resolving customer queries
  • Overseeing accounts payable and payroll-related duties. Also able to deal with payroll queries where assistance is required.
  • Overseeing/performing bank reconciliation
  • Preparing monthly management accounts (profit & loss, balance sheet, trial balance), to include reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Processing weekly gross profit performance data and distributing results to Directors by email.
  • Overseeing weekly (large volume) and monthly payrolls (internal payroll - low volume)
  • VAT return production
  • Overseeing and reconciling HMRC government gateway accounts to ledgers.
  • Responsible for overseeing the company's overhead cost-base.
  • Responsible for maintaining schedules, records and reports which support workings.
  • Any other duties as required by the Managing Director.

Management Account - Experience

  • Confident producer of Management Accounts (essential) and reporting financial performance: This involves posting journals: prepayments, accruals, depreciation, directors loan account, weekly and monthly payrolls.      
  • Confident user of Sage Accounts or similar
  • Confident user of Sage Payroll or similar
  • Proven good communicator in a pressured environment.
  • Previous experience working in a family-run business, reporting directly to owners/directors.
  • Likes implementing new ideas and working practices.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a small finance team
  • Proven organisational skills.
  • Proven experience working on their own and in a team.

Ideally 2/3 full days however a full time position may be an option for the right candidate.

Office hours: 08.30 – 17.00
