We are working in partnership with Primary Schools in the Tamworth area to support them in their recruitment for 1-1 Teaching Assistants.

Roles vary in supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis with various needs which may include:

• Autism
• ADHD
• SEMH needs
• Learning Delay
• Physical Disabilities
• Visual/hearing impairment

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
• Provide support and supervision to students with special needs, including those with autism
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with individualized instruction and behaviour management strategies
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)Support students in their social, emotional, and academic growth
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism
• Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping children learn and grow
• Ability to provide care for toddlers, including diapering, feeding, and maintaining a safe environment
