Turnaround Manager – Permanent – North West - Salary Negotiable – Site Based

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company are looking for a Turnaround

Manager to help with the coordination of activities and turnarounds on their site.

Candidates from a maintenance, operations, projects or production background with some

turnaround experience or exposure will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the safe delivery of planned plant outages across the our clients  site, producing detailed plans to ensure SHE, Quality, Cost and Time requirements are met.

• Assist the Maintenance Team with the delivery of day-to-day resource planning, providing a clear and detailed picture of requirements, deconflicting and prioritising as needed.

• Liaison with external contractors/SME’s to identify innovative technical solutions and subsequent delivery, of Statutory/Legislative shortcomings.

• Lead the alignment of delivery of complex multifaceted work packages, within major planned outages, deconflicting with other major capital and improvement work. 

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, making recommendations and implementing initiatives to enhance the manufacturing capability of plant assets.  

Experience Needed:

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory requirements, associated with the delivery of Maintenance and Engineering activity, across a complex hazardous manufacturing plant footprint.

• Proven leadership performance in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to orchestrate the delivery of time critical activity, safely and on budget, within a fast-changing dynamic landscape.

• A Strategic mindset, with a track record in delivering change, managing ambiguity and building strong teams across multiple disciplines, within the organisation and 3rd party support elements. 

Desirable Skills:

An engineering degree, chartership or a lean six sigma green belt would be preferred but is not essential.
