We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Engineer to transition customer-supplied data into executable programs for our state-of-the-art production machinery. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Computer Aided Manufacturing packages for printed circuit board assembly, a solid background in electronics manufacturing, and the ability to both respond to equipment breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance tasks. 

Primary Responsibilities:

- Convert customer data into programs for production machinery using CAD/CAM software such as Circuit CAM, Factory Logics, Fuji CAM, etc.
- Understand printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes and components to ensure accurate data conversion and program functionality.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, perform maintenance tasks, and repair machinery to minimize downtime.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach when addressing machinery issues.
- Operate and potentially program Siemens SMT machines, although experience with Siemens is desirable, it is not essential.
- Develop comprehensive and accurate work instructions for production staff.
- Apply knowledge of MS Office, drawing packages, and Gerber data to facilitate production processes.
- Design stencils, manage their ordering process, and maintain a seamless supply chain for production requirements.
- Utilize ERP systems effectively to manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), product inventories, and job orders.
- Establish oven profiles and optimize the screen-printing process to ensure peak machine performance.
- Coordinate with other departments, liaise with managers, and communicate effectively with customers to maintain workflow and meet production targets.
- Plan, manage, and deliver on capital projects that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Produce operator assembly guides, develop production aids, and fabricate jigs as necessary.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team to drive results and ensure product quality and process adherence to required specifications.
- Guarantee that all production practices meet company standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- A degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Computer Aided Manufacturing packages specific to PCB assembly.
- Proven experience in SMT machine operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with stencil design processes, ERP systems, BOM management, and oven profiling.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office and other relevant software applications.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact cross-functionally.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with the confidence to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
