EMBS Engineering has been selected to identify a Business Development Manager, to support their existing BD function and focus on developing existing accounts, identifying new target markets and customers that will allow the company to continue to grow and prosper.

With strong machining and fabrication capabilities, this allows our client to produce highly complex, medium to large sized components for world-renowned customers.

This role will suit candidates who currently operate as Technical Sales Engineers, Engineering Estimators, Sales Engineers, Business Development Managers, Commercial Sales Engineers or even Production / Manufacturing / Operation Managers who have worked within SME’s and therefore been involved in Sales / Business Development.

Currently, the business operates across various industry sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace (civil & defence), Marine, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas as well as General Manufacturing and they are looking to expand their presence across Fabrication & Sheet Metal due to the investment made in Water cutting & Laser machining.

Apart from the primary focus of business development, this role will also have a secondary purpose which includes being involved in estimating and quoting RFQ’s that come through inwardly from existing or prospective customers.

Main responsibilities will include;

  • Market Analysis
  • Tender Review
  • Contract Review
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Estimate & Quotes 



 

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous Business Development / Sales experience
  • Held similar positions within precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environments - businesses with strong machining / fabrication capabilities
  • Sound market knowledge with the experience of selling into the Nuclear, Marine, Naval, Defence, Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, Sapce or Aerospace industries
  • Successfully met / exceeded company objectives / targets 
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively within a team
