Due to some impressive project wins, they are now seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team

About the Role: M&E Quantity Surveyor

My client is looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor for a major project in Milton Keynes. This role involves managing the financial aspects of the contract from estimation to final account. Key responsibilities include preparing and analysing cost reports, ensuring budget adherence, and making necessary adjustments based on project developments. You will also prepare valuations and variation quotations, present monthly cost reports, and attend client and site meetings to ensure effective communication and project progress. This is a great opportunity to join a leading contractor on a high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial management for M&E contracts, ensuring efficiency and adherence to budgets.
  • Prepare and analyse detailed monthly cost reports.
  • Assess budgets and make necessary adjustments based on project developments.
  • Prepare accurate valuations and submit them to clients.
  • Generate monthly valuations for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare variation quotations to address project changes.
  • Present comprehensive monthly cost reports.
  • Attend client and site meetings to facilitate effective communication and project progress.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3+ years' proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the M&E sector.

ONC, HNC, BSc, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Proficiency in financial management, budget analysis, and cost estimation techniques.

Ability to prepare detailed monthly valuations and variation quotations.

Strong communication skills essential for client and site interactions.

Flexibility to travel between Essex and London sites as required.
