Currently, my client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to strengthen our team and contribute to ongoing success.

About the Role

As Senior Mechanical Estimator, you'll be pivotal in our pre-construction team, delivering precise and competitive estimates across diverse projects including commercial buildings, data centres, retail, healthcare, education, leisure, hotels, Ministry of Defence, and residential developments. Collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders, you'll use Trimble software to produce detailed cost plans and bids.

As a Senior Mechanical Estimator your responsibilities include:.

• Produce accurate and detailed estimates using current estimating software.
• Appraise mechanical quotations technically and commercially upon receipt.
• Collaborate closely with Buying and operations teams from tender through project planning stages.
• Participate in design development to assess buildability, materials, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare technically accurate estimates for Mechanical Engineering works from drawings and specifications.
• Provide high-level pricing early in the Tender process for cost-effective solutions

Requirements

• Proven track record working as a Senior Mechanical Estimator with 3 years of experience working with a rival Contractor.
• Proficiency in Trimble software for estimating.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective internal and external liaisons.
