The company

My client are a highly regarded food manufacturing business with interests across a wide range of food and agricultural businesses. Based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the company manufactures and supplies premium quality products to an extensive list of key customers including major retailers.

The role

Reporting into the Head of Tax, you will Support the Group from a customs duty perspective whilst ensuring the import/export activities comply with customs regulations, determine commodity codes in accordance with tariff classification and seek rulings from HMRC where necessary whilst maintaining a strong relationship with the Group’s customs agent to ensure timely completion of import and export declarations and resolve any issues.

The person

The ideal candidate will have experience with customs import/export, supply chain, processes or finance, knowledge of customs regulations and incoterms, a willingness to learn and undertake customs qualifications, strong communication skills and attention to detail.
