Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Packhouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of their state-of-the-art packhouse. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of their modern packing lines and maintaining high standards of packaging control and stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the packhouse.
  • Packing Line Efficiency: Ensure the smooth operation of modern packing lines.
  • Stock Control: Handle packaging stock control and ordering processes.
  • Procurement: Manage packaging control and purchasing.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a proactive attitude towards health and safety, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Communication: Liaise effectively with employees, customers, and third parties.
  • Process Management: Take charge of the packing process and meet agreed targets/KPIs.
  • Team Environment: Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other tasks as required by your line manager.

What We Want To See From You:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Accreditations: BRC, HACCP, LEAF, and Red Tractor accredited.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of fresh produce quality requirements.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Communication: Professional manner and effective communication skills.
  • Work Ethic: Proactive, flexible, and willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
