Role: Youth Worker

Location: Salford

Qualiteach is looking for a youth worker to join a local secondary school in the Salford area. The role is due to begin on 02/09/2024 and is offered on a full-time basis, 5 days per week.

The position will involve supporting secondary age pupils with autism and ADHD primarily. You will be adaptable, empathetic in your approach and committed to providing ongoing support for the pupils you work with.

Ideally you will have experience of working with pupils with autism and/or ADHD and will have worked in a secondary school or academy setting. The school are also happy to consider applicants from individuals who have worked in other settings such as sports clubs, youth clubs, arts clubs, drama clubs, Scouts and Guides where secondary age pupils have been supported.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in secondary settings
  • Experience working with pupils with autism & ADHD
  • Empathetic approach
  • A skilled and effective communicator
  • Able to build rapport quickly
  • Right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
