About the role

Haringey Community Safety Team is looking to recruit a part time (2.5 days per week), Project Officer to develop and assist in the delivery of key areas of work including Violence Reduction, Gangs, Anti-Social Behaviour and Crime Problem Solving. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a number of high-profile multi-agency projects/Interventions and to contribute to a reduction in serious youth violence, prolific offending and Anti-Social Behaviour.

About you

The role requires a high level of administrative and organisational skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You will be responsible for managing and exchanging sensitive information, developing research and analytical capacity. Attention to detail and previous experience of working within a criminal justice, local authority community safety setting is desirable.

About the team

The Haringey Community Safety Team carries out a vital role in helping to keep the borough safe. The team focuses on areas such as antisocial behaviour, gangs and problem solving. We are also responsible for commissioning and delivering key projects across the borough to reduce violence and criminality. The team also works with other key internal and external services, such as the police, fire service, probation service, and business and voluntary groups, to implement the Haringey Community Safety Strategy (2024-2027) and other key legislation such as the Serious Violence Duty, Combatting Drugs Strategy and Youth at Risk Strategy.
