Zenith People are working with our client who are a North-East based Manufacturer looking to recruit an experienced Electrical biased Maintenance Team Leader to join them on a permanent basis.

You will be expected to positively contribute to the Engineering/Maintenance Department whilst leading a team of Shift Engineers across a 24 hour shift pattern to allow them to carry out their role as effectively as possible.

• Aim for 100% completion of reports for all work completed
• Create a structured report with sufficient details including the fault description, diagnosis process, remedial work carried out and identify if there is any additional work required
• Liaise with the shift managers to agree downtime on KPI and complete the KPI spreadsheet
• Distribute planned works amongst team members whilst ensuring that work orders are closed off upon completion
• Proactively identify improvement projects across site.
• Participate in annual appraisals for Shift Engineers.
• Input all relevant information on the Shift Handover sheet to enable effective continuity in ongoing works.
• Carry out daily checks on Shift Engineers to ensure their personal tool bags/ boxes are accurate, up to date and order ready. Ensure tool boxes and tools are kept in a safe condition.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Fully Time-served Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
• Previous experience as a Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader - Managing and leading teams of Maintenance Technicians on shifts
• Btec or ONC Preferred
