Position Overview:
As a Fire Alarm Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts within the fire safety sector. You will play a pivotal role in identifying market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, industries, and key accounts for business development efforts.
  • Generate leads through proactive prospecting, networking, and cold calling to establish new client relationships.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their fire safety requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to address their concerns.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance on fire alarm regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Proposal Development:
  • Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, bids, and tender documents in response to client inquiries and RFP/RFQs.
  • Work closely with the technical team to develop customized solutions that align with client specifications and budgetary constraints.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for all parties involved.
  • Sales Strategy and Reporting:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the fire safety industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., BS 5839, EN 54).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a passion for driving business growth and exceeding targets.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
