As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Fire & Security Design Estimator to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in delivering precise and cost-effective designs and estimates for our clients' fire and security systems.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed designs and estimates for fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand client requirements.
• Perform site surveys to gather information necessary for accurate design and estimation.
• Prepare cost estimates, including materials, labour, and equipment costs, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.
• Produce detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and responses to client inquiries.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, designs, and project documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a design and estimating role within the fire and security industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire and security systems, including relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, BS EN 50131).
• Proficiency in using CAD software and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, fire protection, or a related field are advantageous.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
