Machine Operative

£11.44 - £11.94/hour

The role:
Machine Operatives are responsible for the cutting and packing of cheese using modern, intelligent, and technological production lines, in a high care food environment. Key compliance is critical for the role as maintaining health, food safety, and food legality by following procedures, ensures our client produces a quality product for our consumers. The Machine Operative plays an integral role for helping our client achieve their day-to-day business needs.

About you

Essential:

  • Be able to work rotating shift patterns.
  • Must own your own independent reliable transport.
  • Must be physically fit as you will be on your feet all day and will need to occasional heavy lifting.

Desirable:

  • Mathematical calculations to collate production outputs.
  • Follow procedures diligently.
  • Hard-worker and a problem-solver.
  • Flexible in work hours and duties, including washdown and hygiene requirements.
  • Keen eye for to detail.
  • Mechanically minded.
  • Previous food production line experience and food safety qualification.
  • Production line set up and operating and changeovers experience.
  • Experience of working with a critical control points.
  • Non-food production line experience.
  • Alpma and PFM machine experience.

Salary:
£11.44 per hour (days) / £11.94 per hour (nights).

Hours
Rotating shift pattern:
6.00am to 2.00pm, 2.00pm to 10.00pm, 10pm to 6am, Mon to Thurs.
6.00am to 1.00pm, 1.00pm to 8.00pm, 8.00pm to 3.00am, Fridays.
