Salary: £26-35k DOE
Monday - Thursday 8am-4pm & Friday 7am-3pm

The purpose of the Metallurgical Quality Controller will be ensuring the conformance of designated materials and processes, supporting the quality of product of the Proof Machining function of the organisation. Using metallurgical methodologies to increase both cost and time efficiency of existing processes and alloys. Handling of ‘in production’ failures in a timely and effective manner to ensure conformance to customers.

The Metallurgical Quality Controller will report to the Metallurgical Engineering Lead and form part of the proof machining business unit. You will liaise with other stakeholders and departments within the organisation to ensure that all products are produced to, or above the standard laid out in customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and further develop production routing, streamlining and executing the transition into industrial-level production.
  • Overall responsibility for the creation, review and understanding of technical documentation, including records of process and production methodologies and quality assurance documentation.
  • Review of testing results and reporting on designated alloys. Analysis of test data to produce root cause analysis and help improve future produced alloys.
  • Witnessing of metallurgical operations
  • Organising and holding improvement project meetings to implement continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree Level (Considerable experience would be considered in replacement for education)
  • Strong Data Analysis Skills
  • Effective decision maker
  • Ability to articulate ideas with all areas of the company
  • Focused and efficient problem solver
  • Ability to create and follow project plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
