We’re working with a privately owned marine specialist marine contractor to recruit a Project Manager for upcoming schemes with the Environment Agency. They’re an established civil engineering contractor in the sector, delivering projects for local authorities, private clients, the EA, wildlife conservations and more. Their reputation is outstanding, and they have a real drive to encourage and develop their workforce.

The Project Manager is required after a couple of successful project awards as well as the region securing a place on frameworks which will also require more resources. There will be plenty of variety in the projects ranging up to £2m comprising of new access roads, wing walls and capping beams, boardwalks, embankment works and more. 

Often you are working in picturesque environments besides rivers and lakes or in a SSSI location.

The business are keen to speak to established Site Agents as well as Senior Engineers and Sub Agents looking to step into management and run projects of their own.

Duties will include:

  • Writing risk assessments and method statements
  • Building relationships with client’s representatives
  • Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN
  • Overall responsibility of health and safety
  • Managing design and quality of the project
  • Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
