MJM Industrial are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join a market leading company based at Heathrow, and other international airports.

As the field service engineer, you will be working individually and as part of a team on various sites around the UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate for this position must be willing to travel around the UK and Ireland and have an electrical biased background installing and repairing material handling systems. A company vehicle and tools are provided for this position.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

• You must be able to perform diversified electrical and mechanical tasks including analytical troubleshooting, in a planned and reactive environment.
• Planned preventative maintenance as part of pre-agreed service contracts, this will involve changing out worn parts and checking associated components for wear and tear on both mechanical and electrical material handling systems.
• Produce detailed service reports.
• Supporting installation projects, modernisations and warranty work
• Attend breakdowns with the ability to troubleshoot, test and repair technical equipment.
• Operational and residential site cover.
• Working individually and as part of a team on various customer sites around the UK and Ireland (some international travel)
• Low Level Controls: Siemens S7 PLC, TIA Portal, Profibus, ASi-Bus networks
• Creating RAMS related to the work to be undertaken and ensuring Health and Safety standards are adhered to.

Qualification and Background:

• Electrical engineering background – ONC or equivalent
• ECS card at a minimum, SSSTS, IOSH and IPAF.
• Posses a high level of electrical and mechanical controls knowledge.
• To have worked in a similar role repairing and installation of material handling systems.
