Commissioning Engineer

Leicestershire and surrounding areas.

MJM Industrial are looking for a skilled Commissioning Engineer to join a market leading company based at Leicester, Heathrow, and other international airports.

As the Commissioning Engineer, you will be working as part of a team on various sites around the UK and Ireland. (Some international travel will also be required)

The ideal candidate for this position must be willing to travel around the UK and Ireland and have knowledge and a background of material handling systems. A company vehicle is provided for this position.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

  • As Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and delivery of a functional system, in-line with the project scope.
  • You will assist in FAT Testing.
  • Develop and deliver on-site testing (function, integration, and capacity).
  • Report and follow up on open points (JIRA).
  • Ensure implementation and handover of the final approved system and transfer.
  • Installation/adjustment of electrical & mechanical equipment – as required.
  • Handover to the customer.

Qualification and Background:

  • HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working on material handling systems.
  • ECS minimum. IPAF, First Aid and SSSTS Preferable.
  • PLC Experience
  • Be willing to travel around the UK, Ireland and internationally.
