Great opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturing business in Central Scotland to join the management team and focus on running their production areas. 

The Production manager will lead the production team and will ensure the safe and cost effective packaging of the highest quality products by a high performing and well developed team of Team Leaders and Operators. The continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes and project management will also be a key part of this role. You will be required to oversee the production lines and ensure smooth running of these and to oversee the execution of the production plan to achieve on time and in full on customer orders and it will be your responsibility to ensure the department is efficient and targets are achieved. You will be responsible for yields and wastage so knowing your numbers will be important as will instilling the correct behaviours amongst your areas so that everyone knows what is expected and how they can get there. Communicating at all levels is key and being able to manage internal and external stakeholders will be part of your daily routines. Planning manpower and managing costs go hand in hand. Of course, like any regulated manufacturing environment, it will be your responsibility to ensure standards are achieved around health, safety and quality and for you to continuously review and improve on this. Your leadership skills will play a vital part in all of this and to have experience in building teams through coaching and developing as well and formal performance management experience would be of value. 

This role would suit someone who wants the autonomy to drive an already successful area forward and who wants to work in an established business that is expanding and growing. You should have leadership experience in FMCG environment. 

This role will operate on a 9 day fortnight which is pretty rare in FMCG markets and can also offer some flex around start and finish times. There is potential to grow your career along with a nice salary and benefits package too.
