As a member of a team to assist in the day-to-day management of the Trust’s Recruitment Office to ensure a high-quality recruitment service is provided.

The role is to support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate the Collaborative’s values and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

Location: Norwich (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite)

Duration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Pay Rates: £12.82 -£14 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Skills experience and Knowledge

  • NVQ Level 3/ ECDL/ CLAIT or equivalent experience
  • Possession of or working towards CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice or equivalent experience.

  • Understanding and experience of recruitment practices

Overview of Essential Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Assist the Recruitment Manager including supervision of staff dealing with the recruitment processes on behalf of the Divisions/Departments.
  • Monitor and ensure the full and effective use of the ESR and E-Recruitment systems to process applications and provide management information.
  • Ensure that all recruitment processes comply with the Trust’s Recruitment Guidelines and NHS Standards issued by the Department of Health.
  • Liaise with the advertising agency over publication of adverts in local press or professional journals. Assist in checking proofs, ensuring publication deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that all advertising is carried out in line with current Trust policy and that the most economical media available is used. This will include ensuring that all vacancies are input onto Trac/ Health Jobs UK and NHS Jobs.
  • Responding to recruitment enquiries from members of the public and staff and dealing with requests for application forms via email, post, telephone or from visitors to the recruitment office.
  • Preparation of up to date analysis of recruitment statistics
  • Monitor and audit of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosures and liaising with the DBS and departments regarding clearance details.
  • 9. Ensure regular audit information is requested from the Workforce and Payroll office and that checks are made to ensure all new staff have received a DBS check where applicable.
  • 10. To provide advice to managers concerning employment of migrant workers and applying for Certificates of Sponsorship (work permits) when necessary.
  • 11. Compile individual contractual documentation as necessary.

General:

  • Compiling standard reports/up to date analysis of recruitment as required
  • Checking of invoices from advertising and Disclosure and Barring Service agencies.
  • Attendance and assisting with organisation of Recruitment/ Career days
