Personal Fall Protection Systems and Equipment – Engineer

Overview of Role and Responsibilities

To work as part of a small central London based team providing nationwide support for various facilities management and engineering sectors.

Installation, test, inspection, thorough examination, and maintenance of work at height related assets within current legislation, regulation, best practice, and manufacturers’ guidance. Assets include, but are not limited to:

• Temporary and permanent Personal Fall Protection Systems (restraint, work positioning/rope access, and fall arrest).
• Personal Fall Protection Equipment (e.g. harness, lanyards, rescue equipment).
• Fixed gantries, fixed ladders, and guardrail (fixed and free standing)

Experience and Skills Required

• Ability to work at height.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Minimum of 3 years experience within the fall protection industry (installation, test, inspection, and thorough examination).
• Personal fall protection systems and equipment manufacturer training.
• Proficient in the use of personal fall protection systems and equipment, and rescue equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety management
• Good communication skills.
• A good level of English (written and verbal) is essential.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, best practice, and manufacturers’ guidance.
• Operational background in engineering and / or construction.

Location: Primarily London and the surrounding areas with some national travel

Work Schedule: 8hr shifts Monday to Friday with additional weekend cover

Salary: £ 35,000 to £ 40,000 per annum (competency dependant)
