Our Technology based managed service provider located in Cheltenham is recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, developing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports.

Additionally, you will manage administrative tasks and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role is primarily located in Cheltenham, with flexibility for some remote work.  

The successful candidate will be accustomed to/comfortable in a standalone position and have the desire to manage and align the financial operation with the wider business plan,

Role Responsibilties

Thorough and detailed book keeping including the creation and maintenance of management accounts. Provision of financial advice and support to aid business decisions. Monitoring of day to day financial operation

Facilitation of day to day financial operations i.e. payroll, invoicing, cashflow whilst adhering to organisational budgets. Monitoring of accounts. Ongoing monitoring of budgets; assist the MD and CEO in budgetary planning and the setting of annual budgets. Provision of forecasts and trend analysis. Provision of timely monthly MRM invoicing and billing, direct debit collections and chasing of payments

Prepare financial reports (MI reporting) on a monthly and annual basis for year end audit. Review financial reports with the MD and CEO and take action as necessary. Contract auditing and reconciliation services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date.

Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures. Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk.

Salary preparation and review. Liaise with payroll and pension providers. Manage employee pension payments. Key contact for HMRC taxation matters.

Responsible for timely and accurate purchase and ledger analysis, variance analysis, management of accruals and prepayments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Expertise in financial statements preparation
  • Experience in accounting and finance
  • Proficient in financial reporting and compliance
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience with financial software and systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus
