Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 3)

Contract Type: Part-Time (Mornings Only), with Potential to Become Full-Time

Salary: £85-£100 per day

Start Date: September 2024 , interviewing as soon as possible

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Special Needs Teaching Assistant ,to join our team and work closely with a child in Year 3. This role is for mornings only, as the child is currently on a reduced timetable with the aim of eventually transitioning to a full-time schedule.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the child's academic and emotional development, providing one-on-one assistance to help them thrive in a school environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and possess a calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor. They will be responsible for implementing individualised learning strategies, managing behaviour in a positive and supportive manner, and collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a consistent and encouraging learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a Year 3 child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enhance their learning experience.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement and adapt learning strategies and interventions.
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment to promote the child's emotional and social development.
• Support the child in achieving their individual education plan (IEP) targets.
• Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to relevant staff and parents.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the child at all times.
