My client who are expanding engineering business based in Gateshead are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Developmment Manager for our clients Marine Equipment Division. 

Our client is a market leader in the design and delivery of corrosion protection and anti fouling systems to the offshore renewable, port and harbour and the maritime industries

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships establishing agency networks, and driving growth within the company. 

This role requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and knowledge/understanding of the marine sector.

This role will involve visiting clients throughout the uk and abroad- you must be available to travel.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify new business opportunities across the maritime industries establishing dry dock schedules and identifying new builds
• Quarterly account reviews with key accounts to maximise business development with existing accounts
• Engaging with the technical support teams to ensure that customers support needs are met and ensuring that an excellent customer service is delivered
• Attend exhibitions .
• Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management, keeping them informed of sales performance and market dynamics.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in a technical sales role in the maritime industry selling spares and service 
Clean uk driving license
Excellent communication skills
Competent in Microsoft office products
