Overview

We are seeking an available Computing & Programming Lecturer to join a well known Ashford based educational organisation from the 2nd September until at least October half term. The successful candidate will ideally have background in teaching or lecturing and a deep understanding of computing and programming principles, ideally Python, Java and C++.

£25.00 to £30.00/hour, holiday accrued, weekly paid, reduced parking and on street parking. Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and ideally you will be on the update service, however we will cover the cost of a new DBS if this is not the case.



Responsibilities

  • Ensure inclusive and up-to-date content, lesson planning and scheme of works
  • Provide support and guidance to students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, to facilitate their success in the field.
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all students.


Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in computing, programming, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in teaching or lecturing, with a focus on inclusive and diverse teaching practices.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages, website development, and computer science principles.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
