RBDS Technician Opportunity

We are excited to announce an opening for a Remote RBDS Technician specialising in rapid bio-decontamination services. Our client, a leader in decontamination technology, is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable technician to join their expanding team. This role offers extensive training and the opportunity to travel worldwide, providing critical decontamination services across various industries, including healthcare, biotechnology, and bio-defense.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert Training and Service Delivery: Complete an extensive training program to become proficient in our client's RBDS technology and service methods. After training, you will manage large-scale decontamination projects under the supervision of the RBDS Service Manager.
  • Project Management: Lead project planning and execution for RBDS deployments, ensuring all services meet safety and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Customer Support: Provide frontline and back-office support, developing a deep understanding of RBDS procedures to assist both customers and internal teams.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a small team of apprentice-level employees, guiding them through project execution and service delivery.
  • Worldwide Travel: Participate in global deployments with potential short notice, working closely with our client's international subsidiaries and distributors.

Person Specification:

  • Technical Expertise: BSc or equivalent in Engineering/Science with strong hands-on technical ability and experience in a customer-focused service role.
  • Leadership and Project Management: Proven experience in project management or leadership roles is preferred.
  • Customer Relations: Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with audits, GMP, and GLP standards.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, be on call every other weekend, and travel frequently both within the UK and internationally.

Additional Requirements:

  • Vaccination: Candidates must be vaccinated against specific micro-organisms.
  • Personal Protection: Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on customer sites, with full training provided.
  • Security Clearance: Security clearance may be required for certain clients, and candidates will undergo CRB checks.
  • Driver’s License and Passport: A valid UK driving license and passport are essential due to the substantial travel requirements of this role.
