CNC Production Manager

The Company

The Nylacast Group are a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and supply of engineering polymer solutions, with a global brand presence and 9 worldwide locations.

We are recruiting a digital-focused Marketing Executive to support the Marketing team in delivering further growth and brand presence worldwide.

The Role

Main duties of the Marketing Executive include, however not limited to:

• Full responsible for the department- (EHS, Quality, Productivity)
• Effective running of all plant, resources and equipment, ensuring targets are met
• Continuous improvement / adopt best practices
• Responsible for the flow of material through the process
• CI approach to process improvements for H&S, Quality, Productivity and Efficiency
• Quality focus to address route cause of failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Hands on approach with key input to process mapping, risk improvements and project based tasks
• Ongoing review for process optimisation and operator training
• Create / Maintain SOP’s and SWI’s for the existing and new processes
• Effective communication channels to be used at all times within the department
• To ensure all documentation within the department is kept up to date to Quality Accreditations and customer expectations.
• Submit timely and accurate reports
• Work closely with the Health & Safety team to ensure the Health, Safety & Welfare of the team is constantly met.
• Complete Risk Assessments and drive best practice Health & Safety through your department / business
• To act professionally in accordance with company policies and procedures as laid down in the Employees Handbook at all times
• Develop and maintain effective communication links with fellow colleagues to ensure the above.
• Undertake additional training and other relevant duties as required.

Experience & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have skills/experience as follows:

• Must be a time served Engineer or have at least 5 years in an Engineering role
• Must have an excellent understanding of CNC Machine Tools
• Must have Management / Supervisory Experience
• Excellent understanding of Lean Principles and ideally with formal qualifications and previous experience of implementation
• Ideally with a Leadership qualification (ILM, NVQ, Certificate In Management or similar)
• Effective communication & leadership skills

The successful candidate must have a Full UK Driving Licence & be prepared to travel when required, being flexible and responsive in support of the business needs.
