Salary: negotiable depending on skills and experience

Our client, an established Planning and Environmental Consultancy have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their Edinburgh based team. The successful candidate will be working within an established team of planners, delivering expert planning advice to their clients on renewable energy, minerals and waste and residential schemes.

Qualifications and experience:

• Chartered Member of the RTPI (or close to submitting)
• Demonstrable experience within the planning industry, preferably within a consultancy environment
• Large scale renewables and/or minerals and waste project experience

Duties:

• Taking up the role of project lead on a variety of projects
• Co-ordinating and managing multidisciplinary teams working on a variety of large scale planning and EIA projects
• Mentoring junior members of the team
• Actively contribute to the further growth of the team and workload including the preparation of fee proposals
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients
• Preparing and submitting applications and appeals
• Attending client meetings and planning committees
