Teaching Assistants – Special Needs Schools – Birmingham

The Education Network is working closely with a number of special needs schools in the Birmingham area that are recruiting for 1-2-1 and whole class teaching assistants for the new academic year. Whether you enjoy supporting primary aged children with Autism or Secondary aged children with severe learning difficulties, The Education Network has an exciting opportunity for you!

These roles require previous experience as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant, supporting children with special educational needs. Working times are Monday – Friday 08:30 – 15:30, term time only. Ideally you will hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Job Role:
  • Supporting children on a 1-2-1 and whole class basis.
  • Acting as a Teaching Assistant / Classroom Assistant.
  • Working closely with the class teachers to provide the right support.
  • Understanding a range of special educational needs.
  • Providing consistency and care for children.
  • Making learning fun, engaging, and nurturing.
