Summary:

Our client, an established specialist provider of FMCG products. We seek an energetic, forward thinking Transport Planner with the experience required to deliver services in line with company procedures and client SLAs.

The company is recognised for supreme levels of customer service, a great value proposition and world-class standards in its supply chain operation. They have a requirement for a Transport Planner who will be joining a successful team at a depot servicing the needs of multiple retailers.

Working Monday - Friday, weekly rotating shifts of 9am-6pm and 12pm-9pm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Your main priorities will be the co-ordination of the transport planning operation to ensure the timely, efficient and cost-effective delivery of products.

* You will allocate resources, organise schedules and ensure that robust planning is in place to meet agreed service levels.

* Daily data input of KPI's, prepare paperwork for deliveries and resolve any queries.

* Report on accidents and vehicle damage.

* Meeting transport legislation commitments from a planning perspective.

* Manage the workload for your 3PL transport.

Key Skills/Experience:

* We seek a transport planning professional with operational experience gained within a fast-paced environment.

* You will be fully conversant with up-to-date transport planning tools. Furthermore you will be passionate about continuous improvement and will constantly strive to improve operational efficiency's and fleet performance whilst minimising costs.

* Good understanding of relevant transport legislation.

* At least 3 Years' experience within a FMCG transport environment.

* High attention to detail.
