TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in the Durham area who are currently looking for a Qualified Maths Teacher. The school in question achieved an 'Outstanding' report from Ofsted and is a large institution for young people with educational needs. With a rich and diverse curriculum they have a number of different class models that ensure individual pupils learning needs are met. 

TeacherActive are looking to take on a SEND Maths Teacher on a temporary long-term basis. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching, strong command of their subject specialism. The teacher will be working with students across KS3 - KS4 with a variety of special educational needs and can display challenges in behaviour. 

The successful SEND Maths Teacher will have:

• QTS specialising in Maths (ECTs are also welcome)
• Experience teaching Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Excellent classroom management
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs such as ADHD, SLD, ASD and challenging behaviour
