Are you a passionate educator with a love for geography and a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments? GSL Education is looking for dynamic and qualified Geography Teacher to work at a client Secondary School in Hull, starting in September 2024.

Job Role:

As a Geography Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering interactive and dynamic lessons that bring the world to life for our students. You will guide them through the wonders of our planet, helping them develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts and global issues.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Delivering informative and comprehensive geography lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards.
  • Designing assessments to evaluate students' knowledge and understanding of the subject.
  • Implementing differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student can succeed.
  • Utilising innovative teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world examples to make geography relevant and captivating for students.
  • Maintaining a positive and disciplined classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and encourages a love for geography among students.
  • Maintaining open communication with parents or guardians to update them on students' progress, areas for improvement, and any concerns related to their academic performance or behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.

Geography Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Status Teacher (QTS) through a PGCE in Geography or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level is preferable.
  • A passion for Geography teaching and inspiring students.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Willingness to contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
