Art Teacher
Location: Medway
Salary: £120 to £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: September 2024
Contract: Full-time, long-term

GSL Education is looking for a passionate and innovative Art Teacher to join a well-respected secondary school in Medway. This is a thrilling opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire creativity and cultivate a love for art among students.

Key Responsibilities for the Art Teacher Role:

• Design and deliver engaging and dynamic art lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Encourage students to explore various art forms and develop their artistic skills.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning.
• Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' work, aiding in their progression.
• Contribute to the development of the art curriculum and department activities.
• Organise and display students’ artwork throughout the school and in exhibitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and projects.

Requirements for the Art Teacher Role:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching Art at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of art techniques, mediums, and history.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage students.
• Commitment to student progress and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.

Desirable:

• Experience organising or participating in art exhibitions or competitions.
• Familiarity with GCSE and A-Level Art curricula.
