Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a national main contractor in their search for a Design manager. The role is for a Design manager, who can comfortably commute into Finsbury Park to assist the construction of a 511-unit residential project. You will be required on site or office 5 days per week with the potential for hybrid working. This will start as a temporary basis and may continue to a permanent contract.

Ensure that they uphold the company values and promote the company as an all-round company.

To perform the role of one of the company representatives.

To work with the other board members to ensure that the company objectives and obligations are met.

Providing sound commercial advice and management of sourcing strategies, procurement events and Framework call-off contract awards to ensure optimum contract and supplier selection and demonstrable value for money

Experience within residential new builds

Proven experience as a QS/Contract/Commercial Manager

A demonstrable history of adding significant value

Extensive knowledge and experience of construction contracts, cost management and estimating

Advanced analytical skills

Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel/Word/Outlook
